I just found this video. I love it! We haven't been blessed with our own children together yet but I appreciate this video. Glad to know that I am not alone in not wanting babies/children getting used sleeping with the parents.

I love this video I’m taking all this in for when I get married and have kids. My pastor actually said this about not letting kids ruin your marriage. Makes perfect sense. No kids in the bed.

Love the date night idea! This is something we’ve been trying to implement into our week, but it’s so difficult. I don’t have any children, but my boyfriend does. We have his child over every single weekend and we both work all week, so week days we normally only have time to shower, unwind, and make dinner before we get to bed. Sometimes it just feels like too much to go out on a date after working all day. But weekends don’t necessarily work out either because we go to pick up his child right when he gets off of work and usually the baby mother does not come to get the child until 8 o clock at night on Sunday. If she had gotten picked up earlier on Sundays, there might be time for date night! However, I’ve tried talking to my partner about this and he doesn’t like the idea because he only sees his daughter on the weekends so he doesn’t want to feel like he is ‘sending her home early’. I really don’t know what to do. I want him to feel good and like he is being a great father, but I also feel that there is never any time for us and it makes me feel like we are very distant sometimes. Any advice?

My fiancé grown daughter is obsessed with me in a hateful way. I wonder sometimes if her and her dad had something else going on cause it’s to weird for her to be this invested in our relationship where she is jealous of anything he does for me she says she’s single by choice but tell her Dad she wants him to be with someone else always causing trouble and he is the same with her whenever she gets a man

My fiance never has understood this concept fully. I’ll never forget when we first began our journey as a family. I thought it was important to make sure all the kids were actively doing their chores. Somehow that morphed into me being upset and unpleased with her and her children. Then it became “if you got a problem with my kids, then you got a problem with me.” We have had our differences ever since. And it wasn’t because I had an unhealthy problem with the kids…

Reconsider the weekdays. You might have success from the standpoint that going out to dinner would save you the time needed to make dinner at home.
