Hello from Russia, it is very pleasant to see the native tractor LTZ-40, I worked on the production of this tractor, now I am a farmer and I have such a tractor, a good, very simple tractor. It is a pity that it is no longer produced. I'm writing through an interpreter for English.

Hello from Greece... Well done for your channel you have very nice content and meticulously made videos... I am age 22 and a farmer... Here in Greece as of 1980s were close to 150.000 belarus tractors... People live off these tractors... Then the E.U. came and all get into programs and bought John Deere, New Holland, Deutz Fahr etc... Now moving into 2017 and in economic crisis, all farmers understood that they dont make any money and search for a solution so to have a little profit... I have a cousin that own a New Holland TM 125 and had a problem to transmission that cost him till today 15.000 euros close to 18.000 dollars... And when a greek farmer mades a year the most 10.000 to 15.000 euros profit its very hard to cope with the expensive parts... I and my family own Belarus tractors since 1970s now we own 4... We bought last year a new belarus 1025.4 with 110hp it cost 32.000 euro new(38.000 dollars) air con, intercooler, bosch common rail, and .4 means that it passed euro 4 emissions regulatuions... now from 2017 there ll be .6 ie euro 6... they ll have add blue etc... As of parts they are cheap... a piston for a belarus cost from 30 euros to 80 max or a gear for transmission 15 euros as of an example... They are not the most comfort cab but we have to wake up we are farmers we have to live from our tractors not live to pay for our tractors... A 3522 belarus having 350hp cost close to 150.000 euros I believe a 180 John Deere cost more than that... Not to tire you anymore i believe that every farmer should own a tractor or machinery that help him make profit... someone could afford a belarus some else a 400hp John Deere..... Keep the content coming my friend!!!!

i have to drive one of these to pull a Mardi Gras float in New Orleans and I was hoping for tips on stopping quick when at top speed the one i drive has 9th gear and goes about 35 mph so towing a float at that speed can get dangerous when the brakes in these things do not hardly work and when they do its only one side which makes you turn hard in one direction

Thanks for the video it helps a lot!! What's one of these worth with a loader? Looked at one yesterday that comes with the tandem trailer its sitting on for $5000 Can. A new clutch was installed but isn't adjusted properly to function and both batteries are toast so I haven't test run it yet....... The trailer's worth $2000-$2500 at least.

Hello i just wanted to say its not belarus it is LTZ T40 Am(AM means all wheels Drive)and if u ask whats the diffrence then the diffrence is its tractor that is manufactured in another state and another factory and belarus spare parts are not compatible with this tractor. But all thing considered this is very good tractor and it is very reliable. It has lots of aftermarket parts But not originals because the factory doesnt exit anymore. And it also has very good power and weight ratio. It has 50 HP and 2500 bodyweight(almost 6000 lb). In my farm we use it to gather feed with it it can handle 7.5m rake and plouht with 2 furrows. Bad thing to that is the rear pto is only 540 rpm so disc mowing is difficult because most disc mowers need 1000 rpm. And also its good in foresty for hauling logs.

Just revisiting an old video as utube recommend watching it about the Belarus tractor and I totally forgot about it, but anyways a shot in the dark question as I'm not expecting it to be answered but, do you know if the Belarus tractor is still working? And do you miss it even if it didn't have a cab ?

It is still working as far as I know, and I don’t miss it. Cab or not, enough tractors come and go around here that I usually don’t get attached.

We had some Belarus tractors here in NZ but they were not very popular in fact I have not seen one in quite some years? Great site, how many acres do you farm and what stock you run? I come from a Farming family in New Zealand and in the 70's my older brother took over the family farm, he now farms over 20,000 acres with his family and managers and staff of approx 20 individuals, all farms run sheep & beef cattle totaling over 60,000 stock units. My brother is a very committed New Holland & Case operator consisting of 12+ wnnheel tractors most 4wd & Case 1150 Dozer and 14 Tonne Digger.

@cuznjo1

shouldn't you also cross the front chains
@GuyinWY
6 жыл бұрын
cuznjo1 the crossed chains prevent sideways and fore- aft movement but don't do much to prevent tipping in the event of a rollover or sharp turn. While the tractor rolling off is unlikely, having the front chains going out to each side offers a bit of stability like that.

Guy in WY I have no ideal about dot rules in WY, however I have a friend who is a MODOT inspector who has told me that legally there must be 4 tie down points(which you did) and they have to cross to the opposite side of the trailer (your front chains would not be legal in MO). He said the law applied to all loads with wheels. In reality he also said they seldom bothered with non commercial loads due to their workload. The exception would be accidents and lost loads. Just an FYI, check your state laws and other states you may haul in to be legal.
@Budd56
6 жыл бұрын
Coy Patton per the DOT book (I know the book and have hauled a lot of equipment) anything under 10,000 lbs requires at least 2 tie downs. Anything 10,000 or more requires 4 tie downs. There is nothing in the regs that says they need to be crossed. I'm not bad mouthing you in any way, just stating the facts as I know them. There is nothing wrong with putting more tie downs than required.
@coypatton3160

Budd Dawson have no ideal. Repeating what i was told. 10,000 lbs exceeds anything i have ever hauled. He may have been jerking my chain. Again i do not know. I do know a guy who lost a mower off a trailer and he had troubles. But they related to how he had it secured and the lawsuit for the damage to the car behind him that hit the mower. He had one light strap through the foot well of the mower and mower brake set. He admitted that to the highway patrol officer.

Well this is Russian,so the price is cheap,parts are cheap,and well it's hell of a lot more reliable,then a john deere,and im not talking about a Belarus 420/400 or as in europe a T-40,im talking about a T-25,Belarus/MTZ T-150, T-16 and so on,i can get parts for them for almost nothing.And what i don't understand why people think john deere is the best,cause Belarus is more reliable and cost half less then a john deere with the exact same HP/Age/Condition so i don't get why people like john deeres so much!

Its stubborn-ness and pride, JD is the stand alone manufacturer and its Amurican. we here on the prairies are now warming to the MTZ, Kioti and the Mahindra and others but farmers dont quickly trust eh!

PIPER DOUG honestly, if you want a good sturdy tractor worth the money you pay for it other than those Belarus, look at Versatiles. Those are extremely well made and are hard to kill. There are quite a few old Versatiles in my area that are still running. Those are Canadian tractors and claim to have the largest and most comfortable operators cab in the industry. They actually made better track machines than both JD and Case both in my opinion. If you check out some of the YT videos on them they're really well engineered machines.

Typical Russian design - let's do it backward from everyone else! Lol. Seriously though if I planned to keep a tractor forever I would consider an MTZ (basically a new Belarus). They are simple and I bet they are darn reliable and will last as long as you have a basic mechanical knowledge. Parts would be the only chancy aspect. Americans love their John Deere's but there is always a solution for the alternative thinker.
@GuyinWY
6 жыл бұрын
+OSUOiler is MTZ related to Zetor?
@thesilentg3941
6 жыл бұрын
No mtz doesn't have anything to do with zetor,if im not wrong.And well this is again a T-40 so well the T-40 is an odd tractor,belarus tractors or t-150,t-25 or t-16 or as you have them in Canada,belarus 1500,belarus 250 or belarus 160,either way all better then this T-40.
@OSUOiler
6 жыл бұрын
Yeah as FARMinLATVIA said I don't believe the two are related. Zetor is a Czech manufacturer whereas MTZ is the brand/abbreviation for Minsk Tractor Works in Belarus. They were one of the big Soviet manufacturing facilities back in the day. Belarus was also the big line of tractors that they produced, which you know since you had one, but when they returned to the North American market a few years ago they changed the branding to MTZ. Still essentially the same machine but now updated. They are interesting and tempting tractors to try out.
