Here’s a bonus tip for those of you down here in the comments! If your card doesn’t lose hashrate by pulling the core clock all the way down to -502, you will probably be able to lower you wattage a lot by using absolute core clock! I have a video on how to do that here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lZyEzn6jg5SUhaA If you want to learn more about overclocking directly in Trex miner I have a video on that here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/kXxq3qyZfHN7iX4 And here's a video of me building my 1GH/s mining farm: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1Gt4l4OEk19io5w Thanks for watching!

Hey Seb, I dont know if just focusing on overclocking and power restriction is all there is to it. Hashing is the card doing math, trying to find the right answer, or get correct shares. Some calculate better with slower cores and memory. I'd suggest watching efficiency, but not going for the most hash rate possible. Instead, during this process check out when you get the most hits. That's the sweet spot. Let's get this money!

Good video but I feel it lacks some info. First 100% fan not great for longevity so don't do that. Then you do not need power limits, rather adjust core clock and memory clock to what you are comfortable with temperature wise, open volt/frequency curve editor in MSI afterburner - and lock voltage to 700-850 wherever you see your memory speed and hashrate not going down. I personally run small overclocks (memory +700 core -200) on 3070, use about 100w with 58mh/s on daggerhash

This video is fantastic! I always thought overclocking wouldnt make much of a difference, and it would only wear out my hardware faster. With this video, my 2070 Super went from 37.16Mh/s, pulling 177w, to 44.30Mh/s, pulling 124w and dropped around 16C at the same fan speed, with an efficiency of 349kh/s. The difference is huge, and Im actually putting less stress on the GPU!

Maybe mention profitability? Highest hash rate is not necessarily the most profitable depending on power consumption, electric cost and coin price. Also the most efficient is also not necessarily the most profitable. Damn good video and very well explained in each stage. keep up the good work and information...

But....the fan is running at 100% rotation speed under the final optimal tunning point! That's no good at all for the fan. If you then reduce the fan speed to 60-70% as expected for long-term running, the temperature of the GPU will get higher, and then all the related fine-tunned settings for cclock and mclock will no longer be accurate at the sweet point, and need to be fine-tuned again. So would it be better to determine the final working fan speed first, then the expected GPU power consumption range prior to tunning the rest of the parameters.
