Great job! Always nice to see a beautiful finish come out of an inexpensive gun. Having skills don't hurt either.

Great looking paint job. What needle tip combination did you use for each product? I noticed that you did not use a guide coat on the sealer primer or block it and your paint job came out great. Is blocking necessary or is it the products you use?

it's a 1.3 and about the guide coat the motorcycle was clean and straight

thanks for the video , my questions= how long for primer to dry before you applied 1st light basecoat ? and how long between coates after that ? including clear.? epoxy sealer??
@PHARRAWAY
6 жыл бұрын
Danny theplumber hi I added sealer it usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes before adding the first coat of base after wait every 10 minutes in between coats after base wait 15 minutes before clear and 10 minutes between each coat

thank you pharraway , very clear . And finally I would like to ask=may you use and top up existing paint in the gun for the following coat or do you throw it out and mix a fresh batch for every one ?
@PHARRAWAY

No, you can use the same you don't have to throw it out

cool... I noticed you didn't wet sand between coats? was there a reason for this, certain types of paints don't need to wet sand? came out really glasslike, just curious about ripples...
@PHARRAWAY

Wet sand between coats??? No never done that this type of paint doesn't need to do that and about the ripples (orange peel) the clear I use hardly comes out with that.

How much paint did it take and what was the final cost? i want to paint mine this spring. I have the same bike but no fairing on mine.
@PHARRAWAY
7 жыл бұрын
It took 1qt of paint and 1qt of clear with 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear, that's basically what you would need for a bike like this a 1qt kit

looks great So you have just proved that a cheap gun can do quality work so i have a question what makes the more expensive gun so much better do they really make the paint job better because what i just saw that bike looks awsome.So why would you go buy a 500.00 gun thanks man and keep the videos coming all ways learning something when i watch
@PHARRAWAY
7 жыл бұрын
the only thing that I noticed, was that the spray gun atomization was a bit heavier, and had to change a bit my spraying technique - so all an all the more expensive gun will give you that fine atomization from the get-go and don't have to worry about anything, also the paint consumption was a bit more too.Thank You

did you rinse the fuel tank as to not have gas vapors peel the new paint off and if you did rinse it what was your process great though
@PHARRAWAY
7 жыл бұрын
no, just so that I can paint the bottom, and as for the fuel the gas was taken out and left for a day or two with the gas cap off for the vapors will evaporate that's all you need to do
