Your sharing your experience of largely converting to India ink has allowed me to stay involved in this hobby! I have struggled with acrylic paints and other mediums with regard to cleaning and maintaining my airbrush. The inks are so much easier to work with and are more forgiving when it comes to cleanup. Of course the quality and attractiveness of your work continues to inspire me with my use of inks when painting lures. If you could consider making a video that emphasizes the mechanics of working with inks, acrylics, and even these color shift medias, I would be grateful. I just find that I spend most of my time cleaning my airbrush when working with acrylics and color shift media. Maybe I just don’t have a reasonable expectation as to how often cleaning needs to be done with these medias when compared to ink. Keep up the great work! It is inspiring.

You really make some great looking baits, and I learn a lot from you. Thank you. I like your advise on "keeping it simple" too. Wish I would have seen this video a few hundred dollars ago! LOL

It stays on 18 psi I never adjust it you control the air flow with your finger that takes time to learn how to do if this doesn’t help you pm me on facebook and I’ll send you my phone number

💯… I got the master air kit from Amazon with a GS 22 I believe and totally agree 100%. It’s all about mixing the paint right never airbrush before until about 6-7 months ago and totally shocked myself of the quality that an inexpensive airbrush performed when I looked at $189 for an iwata and I painted what I did I said why buy that expensive thing when I can do this👍👊. Do you have an issue with the tip dry using the ink?.. and what pressure are you spraying at because on my side it sounds like your pressure is kind of high… sounds like using the alcohol would be a lot cheaper than buying airbrush cleaner as well when using the ink

Createx is cheaper and really isnt that hard to work with but there is a little learning curve. Once you get the hang of air pressure and mixing its not bad at all. I do like how inks lay and can be sprayed mostly on low pressure though. My most expensive airbrush gun is a iwata neo so i agree dont need super expensive but there is definitely better brushes than the master ones lol. I think the timbertech is better than a master.

@@crawdaddyscustomcrankbaits1695I started airbrushing a long time ago on model cars but wasn't able to actually build them anymore due to vision. Loved fishing so started painting lures this last year and I use all kinds of paints lol and I've got some inks just haven't used them as much but they are thinner and generally seem to be easier to spray. My issue with them is unless on sale they can be pricey for the amount you get lol. I think the hardest to work with honestly is cheap craft acrylics because most of them are super thick and yoi have to mix each one a little different to get a good spray/coverage with them. But I can say spending a little more on a good controllable airbrush makes a huge difference with any of them. No you don't need a 200 to 500$ airbrush but something better than some of the cheap Chinese ones is best. Badger, iwata and a handful of lower end brushes do excellent jobs. I seen you having issues with that master in various videos lol it sticks and does atomiz the paint at times. The one you're using is actually more expensive than the timbertech 183k which does a excellent job and even professional artist use them.

@@crawdaddyscustomcrankbaits1695 nice i never entered those shows but had many wanting me to lol. I went to a couple local shows every year though. Could get some good deals on kits and parts that you couldn't anywhere else. I'm still plugged into all that and keep up with many friends that still build. I built fir about 30 years and airbrushed about 20 years of that but just now getting back in the swing of airbrushing due to years of eye surgeries and recovery. Still legally blind and only have one eye but I can paint lures better than small model parts lol. My depth perception issue has been a learning curve though.
