I’m trying to black my bike out completely, that looks sick man! How did it hold up rigidity wise?

you have to sand this and add a adhesion promoter. then sand again. then color. then clearcoat. then very fine (2000 grit) sand, then clearcoat again

Do you think you could have used the first few coats as a base coat for actual black paint and then clear cause it just looks like a light tint of black to me

@@motorcyclemanthony1552 my bike is mostly Matte Black except for chrome pieces... looking to Blacken out headlight and air filter box.... in your opinion how would that Black look next to Matte Black?... still keeping some chrome accents on bike

Just wondering how the screw heads and Allen key heads held up. It doesn’t look like any of the coating chipped off while tightening the screws. Did it cause any issues like maybe making it a little tight to use the Allen keys?

They held up fine. I took extra care tightening everything. It didn't effect using the Allen keys. However these were really small screws, it may cause a problem if tightening down bigger bolts.

I'll paint after it is screwed in. I've accidentally scratched a powder coat job putting back on the parts after! Oops now I tape em good that was when I first started building bikes though

If you didn't rough the surface up how long do you expect the blackout to last, only asking as other you tubers say you have to rough surface and use epoxy primer ?

I was just following the directions on the can. It says not to rough it. If you rough it up it'll be visible. Anyway 17,000 kms later, it's still on.
