That was cool! You were putting in the misty clouds at the beginning, and I could not see what was happening so much…suddenly the mountain popped up and it all fell into place! Also your comments on using the same set of pigments throughout the painting are appreciated. But you are a brave man, popping in those phthalos! If you can tame those bullies, kudos to you!

Thanks Anne, glad you enjoyed it. Phthlalo green is a great 'kicker' for increasing the saturation of an existing green you have made 😊

Blue Ridge Oils is who I get most of my oils from, they are really good and saturated pigments, they are really high quality for the price!

Hi! I’m so happy I found your channel. Love your videos!! I was wondering if you’ve done any lessons on a misty scene like this with rays of sunlight hitting one area.

Thanks Jessy, I haven't made any lessons yet on painting misty scenes with spot lighting effects but it is definitely something I would like to paint. I'll go through my photo reference and see what I can find 😊

Great video Sam hey what are your favorite size canvases to work on ? What size canvas do you think sells most ?
@SamuelEarpArtist
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Allen, I like painting on medium sized canvases and 12” x 16” is a good size. I have found the smaller paintings sell better as they are more affordable 😊

Thank you. I am going to paint a larger version of this art work and if all goes well I shall be making a full length video of it and uploading to my Patreon channel. I’m hoping to make a start on the painting in the next few days 😊
