i only just recently got into 40 and picked up the recruit edition and while I loved the look of the necrons, I love the alternate colour scheme you have done, I'm doing my own variation with a worn gold metallic body with purple glow for the weapon and light sources :)

What about doing the watery white before the air brushing and then pin line the details on the blade with it to.

I may do a video one those one day. They are mostly PVA and sand, airbrushed with blood angels red contrast paint, added a shadow under where the mini would go with shyish purple and then dulled down all over with an airbrushed filter of sepia ink. then dry brush some orange on top.

do a video tutorial on how to do the effect with a BRUSH and not air brush. 90% painters does not have the airbrush

Glazing and stippiling can accomplish it. Follow the steps just sub in glazing and blending as you normally paint. Trust me I don't have an airbrush and I've been able to replicate the process. Midwinter minis showed how to do his glowing effects for his necrons using dry rushing just sup your energy effect in for midwinter blue.

What is the setting when using Tesseract Glow in the Airbrush? PSI still 10--15 with Flow Improver? Also how much Flow Improver DO you add to the Inks and do you need to add the same amount when airbrushing Contrast paints or Tesseract Glow? I was going to mess around with Pro Acryl Transparent White, Green and Yellow, but this looks really good. I've seen people use Tesseract Glow after base coating the blade white and then adding Random hues of grey and eventually black. The Tessract Glow was then applied as a filter and changed the White, grey and black to different shades of Green. I dont have any inks, but I have PA Transparent paints and a tall bottle of Pro Acryl Glazing and Washes medium. I also have a big bottle of Golden Airbrush Medium because I heard it works awesomely with any brand. I tesxted it with some Turbo Dork and it was a dream to work with. I also have Vallejo Flow Improver which I'm told is more toxic. TheOwner of Monument Hobbies advised using 50/50 Flow Improver/Transparent paint as a starting point when Airbrushing. I had to ask him because the Transparents are very strong. I have a Badger Patriot 105 with a .5 needle and I found that some airbrush ready products like Vallejo Air or Army Painter Air Paints will work fine if I adjust the PSI PSI. I was also able to successfully Airbrush normal Citadel Metallics after I fina;llyt came across instructions on how to use thier Air caste thinner. You basically open up a brand new pot of Runelord Brass or any paint you want to change to an Airbrush reqady paint. There is a lot of empty space in the pot, even when brand new,. You take the Air Caste dump it into the pot until it fills just under the bottom lip of the top cover. Drop an agitator in the pot and shake. In fact they become so watery, you might as well transfter it over to a Dropper bottle... Thanks in advance if you are able to provide how much Flow Improver you add to your inks and Tesseract Glow

Usually I start with just a drop or two but it kind of depends on how much ink I’m using too. I mainly use it to try and keep the ink from drying in the tip of the airbrush. For the tesseract or other contrast paints it’s usually one or two drops of flow improver to maybe 7-8 drops of contrast.
