Awesome, perfectly what i was after. Looking at putting wood grain on some plastic arcade guns I have that I wanted to paint up realistic like to mount in a frame.

Nice! I'm thinking of customizing an old Xbox 360 I just got. While trying to think of cool color schemes I thought to myself. Well it's an Xbox. Why not make it look like an actual box? I might even attempt to try and make the name and logo look like it was hand carved somehow. Might be a bit tricky though. But I think I might have an idea on how to pull it off without having to add anything to the outside casing. But I'm afraid it won't have the room to do so. Fingers crossed.

What would have been handy to know (as i am a complete novice) is to quickly explain at the beginning your air brush settings, needle size, spray size etc. Thanks.

I would take an old hair dryer apart long enough to remove the heating element and then put it back together so that it could be used as an air blower.

Question for you! Can acrylic craft paint be used in an airbrush if thinned with water? If not, can you help me understand why? ps thank you for your tutorials!
@TheNotoriousNemo
2 жыл бұрын
Yr too late, but yes you can if u thin it down to a milk consistency. I would only recommend doing this for practice, or if your trying to save on money and covering large amounts of surface area.

What is synthetic paper?
@AirbrushAsylum
4 жыл бұрын
It’s a coated paper which can be erased on and highlights can be scratched in using a blade as the knife glides over the surface. Have a look at School of Realism we sell the Blair paper which is a fantastic product 👍🏻

I am not sure about this, the shading makes it look like these are layers of different height which is not how the wood should look like.
