Welcome to The Blue Mouse Knits the #1 stop for all your knitting needs. In todays tutorial I will show you how to pick up and knit the neckband of a sweater at the end of your project. This is for picking up along a cast on edge, but will work just the same for a bind off edge if you worked the sweater bottom up. It's very simple and you pick up the same amount of stitches that you either cast on at the beginning or bound off at the end. I demonstrate this with a contrasting color, but you'll most likely want to use the same color as the rest of your pullover. I'm demonstrating on a top down raglan sweater, but this will work for any project with a circular cast on or bind off edge like this. I suggest starting to pick up along the back side of your project so the slight jog from the join won't be noticeable from the front, especially when working a sweater.
