Being mostly self-taught, I generated a lot of bad habits and mistakes. I have found in this and some other of your videos that I have seen today, many things that I have to change. I can't wait to put them into practice. Great content.

Well, it's been three days of constantly falling and leaving my arms getting back on the board, but I've finally managed to do this manoeuvre! Yes, I know, I'm clumsy, xD I recently saw that you had an operation, I hope all is well. A huge greeting from Spain!

Nicely explained. It would be nice to also demonstrate backside turn technique. And, what is the kicktail pad at the back of the board, is that something you added? Looks useful!
@ethanhuffsup

Thank you glad you enjoyed it and yes I plan on making a future video that also demonstrates the backhand turn technique. The kickpad comes with this board which helps a lot with pivot turns. Not all boards come with it though. Sometimes you're able to buy the kicked separately and install it yourself, but it depends on the design of your paddle board.

Hi Ethan, as a SUP enthusiasts I am closely watching all your videos. Isnt easier to make the left pivot turn i.e. paddle on the right by having the left foot in front? (now you are goofy , video on 4:15) by changing the feet it might be possible to make longer and wider C stroke off the board thus having fewer moves to perform the turn. Thanks

Hey Ivan, yep you’re absolutely correct. More paddlers are starting to do this as it is more effective. I’m still working on it though haha. 😆

Why didn’t you use the airline to demonstrate the turns? 🤔
@ethanhuffsup

Mostly because it’s much easier to balance and demonstrate on an all around board for the video. 😆 I’ll have to shoot it again sometime with the airline as well to show off some skills. 😉
