Hello Gretchen my friend! How have you been doing? Did you ever start a new planner group on another platform away from Facebook? When I did a video showing my binder collection I thought of you. You have the ultimate binder collection!

@@TonyaPlans I did start a planner group on Mewe, but activity was soooo slow that I closed it. I did reopen my FB account to help manage a faith based group I had archived, but I'm only active in that group as admin. My main hangout is still MeWe. And yeah, my FC binder collection is a bit out of control! LOL

There’s something we lost as a culture when technology took over. People are much more stressed and anxious. I don’t know why but I find writing things so relaxing. These videos are very helpful and much needed as mental health and sleep issues continue to rise. I even got my husband to pull out his old Day Runner and we’re going to order him Franklin Covey daily refills for his job so he can feel more organized and less stressed.

Well said. I consider myself a technical person but still see the value in writing things down as opposed to typing. I think people became more stressed also since the blue law which allowed businesses to be open on Sunday. There’s no real day of relaxation anymore. People just go go go which can lead to other issues.

Great video Tonya! I'm not saying you forgot anything, just reminding to others new to it that when you're using the Franklin Planner to it's most potential, a lot of your daily planning is already in place because you're always adding to future tasks lists, so ten minutes is a good amount of time to plan with. Sometimes you can accomplish tasks ahead of time and you can annotate that on a future task list with a backwards arrow and date to the planner page it was actually done, this help a bit with self-esteem also by getting things done ahead of time. If you run out of space on your second page because of heavy-duty journaling, I would suggest keeping a second dedicated journal and just annotate on the second page you have more detailed notes/thoughts in your journal. I try to keep the second pages focused to additional information needed for the task list but if you have room to spare then I see no problem with that either, just offering a suggestion.

Wow, I have been following your plan already and it does help ease some stress. Most of my job is dealing with issues that come up urgently that may need follow up. I put those in process notes on the facing page and scan them at end of day to see if they need to be on tomorrow’s schedule. I also time block on my schedule to account for planned tasks to help me prevent overload. I include my travel time for events for the sam reason.

Hi Kristen! My videos are captioned in English. KZitem provides the service automatically...the captions are not perfect but close. You have to select the gear and then Subtitles/CC. Or just select the CC icon. Is there another language you are looking for besides English?

Thanks for another informative video, Tonya! I enjoyed the tips, especially where you suggest looking up directions to an appointment the night before and considering your travel time. I usually wait until to last minute to do that! I also use my planner to record something I am grateful for that day. The Daily Notes section could be a good spot for that.

Thanks so much for the video! Missing them from you :) I think I’m switching back to my classic franklin - the Japanese version just doesn’t have enough room for all of my tasks and notes. Tho, I love having the small compact size of it -
@TonyaPlans

Hey Lori! Sometimes people need more writing space so I understand switching back to classic. I’m not sure if you ever tried the Hobonichi A5. I will be doing a video to compare the Japanese Franklin planner to the Hobonichi. The Hobonichi has less line structure than the Japanese FP so I’m excited to try that out. With the Japanese FP the space to write tasks feels too small sometimes.

Hello. I am a center director for Head Start with lots of deadlines and not to mention, running a center. We use our outlook 365 where my supervisor can view my schedule, etc. But I’m old school and still use paper planner. In the past I used Franklin Covey planner with this beautiful red binder. I’m trying to figure out what might help me be more productive. I{m not sure if I need a binder. Suggestion?
@TonyaPlans
3 жыл бұрын
☺️ Hello. Like you, I use a paper planner with Outlook 365 for work. When I receive a meeting invitation, I write the meeting down in my planner before hitting the Accept button. That way my planner and Outlook stays in sync. If a meeting is canceled, I put an X next to it, I don’t draw a line through it. Paper planners allow me to slow down and think more clearly about work and my deadlines.
