In purchasing my NP Pass many years ago as a senior I asked the clerk when it expired considering my large purchase price of $10.00. She said "sir, it expires when you do!" Sure been worth the money! Great episode....thanks for sharing all the info and great scenery. Oh, and even at $80.00 a year it's worth every penny!

This recap was awesome. Because of this season, I bought a National Parks Passport book and have excitedly begun collecting stamps and stickers. As I am planning Route 66: The Second Half, for next year, I have already checked out my Passport book so I can bear off 66 to include some parks, forests, historic sites while I’m in the general area. But most importantly: I’ve listened to you and “I’m just doing it!!!”

Wife & I love your videos and have been traveling much more now! You mentioned issues with having to leave Charlie when not full hook-ups. A savior for us has been a battery/electric Dewalt jobsite fan. Now our dog would stay in the truck all day if she could. Even when at campsite she prefers the back seat of truck. I think it’s her safe zone and she’s very quiet. We will open all windows about 2”, pop the sunroof up to vent. We put the jobsite fan in the back seat with her. Keeps the air moving and keeps her cool. Now 85 degrees in full sun is a no but it works well in camper or truck in many situations. Also works well for us when at a Harvest host warm night or even outside to stay cool or help blow bugs away from us. Battery lasts for hours & hours.

Over the course of four months this past summer we visited Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, and before heading back to Florida we visited the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. We ran into friends in Moab, who recommended that we try the GyPSy Guide app. This app gives a narrated guided tour of many of our national parks. It knows where you are via your smartphone GPS and doesn’t require a cell phone signal. We used it for Canyonlands, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon, and Mesa Verde. It is an awesome app and we were grateful to our friends for recommending it.
