Thanks for those. they were fun and creative. ...I have a suggestion about musical notation. Generally, when you have voicings that move by a half step it is better to write them as a minor second, rather than a single note with two different accidentals. As you may know, these are called "enharmonic" spellings - the same pitch written two different ways. Here are some examples from these voicings: In #14 on the third beat, the Db going to D would usually be written as a C# to D. This also expresses the C# as a #11 on G, which will tend to move or "resolve" upwards (as it does here). Then, in #16 the left hand D# and C# interval that drops to D natural and C natural would usually be written as D flat and E flat instead. So the Db would more to C and the Eb to D, rather than a C# to C natural. Some people will think this is being picky or unfair, but it follows the idea of voices or melodies moving by a step (whole or half), rather than as an accidental changing on one scale note. This practice goes back hundreds of years in the "classical" tradition, which was very attentive to the motion of multiple internal voices, even inside complex "block" harmonies. The right "spelling" of the note helps us to see the horizontal line of the individual voice, rather than only think in terms of vertical chords. When you find exceptions to this it is usually because the different "spelling" of the note might require a double flat or sharp, etc, and be harder to read. But these are exceptions. Still, some of the best composers, like Bach, were very meticulous about these and rarely made exceptions. And we know Bach as one of the best writers of multiple voice counterpoint in history.

Wow this is absolutley incredible stuff. To take licks from the jazz greats and put it altogether like that for us. A big thank you for your effort! What Id like to know from anyone here is why do these licks which were originally improvs work harmonically. Are they using different scales and modes on each of the Minor7-Dom7-Major7 ?
