I havent implemented any of the stuff yet, bit aside from you, and tim mets, rick diors cpl lessons, and maybe one other, there are no real jazz drum learning videos on youtube. Like 3 years ago i looked and inthink your was the only channel i found. If i had already been a jazz drummer, knowledgable and well versed, id be the king of jazz drumming on youtube since its an under utilised niche on yt. Ppl wanna learn, but theres no real great way to start, chances are for most theyre already good at jazz drumming and have been doing it for years. Theres a few vids on tuning, and the kinda sound to get. And some stuff on comping but nothing great.nothing detailed. And than theres the few "example 1....ting ting-ta-ting ting-ta-ting" videos. So just knowing someones breaking it down(the mechanics, the feel etc) makes me happy.

Thanks for the great comment and for watching! I appreciate your kind words too. It does seem like a small niche. I'm in it simply because Jazz drumming is what I love and I enjoy teaching. Here at KZitem, I've been blown away by the number of connections I've made with other drummers like you and how quickly my channel and my Jazz Drum School: jazzdrumschool.com/ have grown. I love Rick Dior's content and playing. So much skill and a great teacher too. I don't know Tim Mets but will check him out. If you need beginner Jazz drumming fundamentals up to advanced studies, I hope you'll check out Jazz Drum School too. Keep swinging my friend 🤙

I'm glad! Sometimes I think, "Is this too basic?" but it's surprising how much small details can transform our playing. Keep swinging my friend 🤙
