Introduce yourself to Invisible Sun, and step into the surreal magical universe called the Actuality!
Invisible Sun is a tabletop roleplaying game of surreal fantasy, magic, secrets, and player-focused narrative.
In the first half of this video, Monte Cook, the game's designer, acquaints you with Invisible Sun's innovative style and modes of play, and illustrates the "surreal fantasy" tone of the setting. It's more than just the weird of the Numenera RPG, or the strangeness of the Strange RPG. Monte explains how this game naturally builds a narrative around players and their characters, weaving through multiple modes of play like regular game sessions and side scenes.
In the second half, Monte walks you through play of Invisible Sun, showing how each component operates and giving you a sense of what gameplay feels like.
Do you want to see actual play sessions of Invisible Sun? Watch The Raven Wants What You Have to see this in action, with Monte as game master and Shanna Germain, Bruce R. Cordell, Sean K. Reynolds, and Darcy Ross as players!

Invisible Sun: An unprecedented physical production.
The Invisible Sun roleplaying game is filled with massive amounts of content for a unique roleplaying experience. Its myriad components are presented in a deluxe box called the Black Cube .
The Black Cube contains (and this is not an exhaustive list):
• Four hardcover books totaling over 500 pages of game and setting content. (That’s well over the page count of one of our typical corebooks, such as Numenera.)
• Roughly 1000 cards. The equivalent of about 200 pages of book content, and for the most part the cards do not duplicate text in the books.
• The Sooth Deck, a beautiful tarot-like deck that’s instrumental to game play.
• The Path of Suns game board, used with the Sooth Deck.
The Testament of Suns, a figure that displays the currently ascendant Sooth Card.
• A wide variety of tokens for tracking game information.
• A set of custom Invisible Sun dice.
• The Guiding Hand, a GM's notebook.
• Character tomes (similar in function to character sheets in other RPGs) for all four orders, plus Apostates.
• A character grimoire pad used to track all the kinds of magic each character knows.
• Five pregenerated characters.
• Loads of in-setting handouts and props.
• A gorgeous art book.
• And the Invisible Sun app.
Invisible Sun is a game about discovery and secrets. There may be other content awaiting your discovery in the Black Cube.
