This actually sounds pretty good. I’m not often on for modern jazz since I listen to big band on the daily. But if you made an actual song out of this I’d definitely add it to one of my playlists for listening to music.

can anyone tell me how he plays the high note here at (roughly) 0:34? i dont know how this machine works but it looks like he played a low note and a high one came out

the midi (keyboard) is probably programmed that for each 8 bars it switches an instrument automatically and creates a loop. When you hear the high note, it’s probably just the same instrument, but because the 8 bar loop is repeated, it switches to a higher octave and the loop continues

For drums don't forget to add a very quiet open bass drum on ever quarter note, and some light snare jabs, mostly singles but add a 2 not triplet inside the ride hits. Less is more with the snare!
