This is a great tune to break out for an impromptu jam session. Even if the other players don’t know the song, everyone immediately “gets” it and is enthusiastic

Aerosmith 1976 ROCKS. A mere 13 years old and already in a Rock Band. Introduced an incredible sound with a new edge and level, no doubt. Had to buy the album twice and wore both out playing them over and over again - same tricks detuning way-down when weighing down, wedging, and leaning to slow the turntable just to learn a decent cover for the entire album. Nice memories. Thanks, Kelly - great job!

Your Aerosmith solo lessons do well because they're super melodic, and hence, memorable. I was singing the solo in my head before you played a single note ... and I haven't listened to this song in ages. Believe it or not, I remember playing this song on my boom box in a noisy school cafeteria when I was around 11-years-old. I remember it because half way through the song some girl came up to me and said, "Turn that jungle music down!" It was the seventies before disco, hip-hop, etc., so looking back on the criticism, the groove and Steven Tyler's vocals were unacceptable to white suburbia back then in Long Island, NY. Go figure.

Another "Stellar" lesson from MR Kelly Allen. It amazes me, how fast you can learn a complete song & teach it note for note with perfection! thanks for teaching killer, guitar songs on "You Tube" I hope everyone appreciates you as much as I do. Peace.. Joe.

I just came here to see if it was in the key that I thought. Never learned the whole song just played the main riff at one time. I haven't gotten quite to five minutes and I'm very impressed with your teaching. It's easy to understand for someone with some knowledge of guitar and music. Those who are new can look up a half step if they don't know it what it is. Excellent job. It's still my favorite Aerosmith song.

Only got to see Aerosmith twice, in 1976 at Seattle Kingdome with Jeff Beck and Derringer, and then on their "Permanent Vacation" tour. The '76 was lousy, terrible sound, and a mile away...the PV show was outstanding, and I was really close to the stage... Their debut thru "Live Bootleg" is really the only stuff I can listen to now. These lessons are GOLD man. 100% PURE GOLD. thank you!!! check out "Heartbroken Bopper" by the Guess Who, released in 1972. Definite similarities between the 2 songs.

Hello, Mr. Allen, have you ever tried to figure out a RUSH song called "No One at the Bridge"? It's Caress of Steel. I figured out something that sounds good and is pretty close (in the 1970s.) But I'm sure that you could do it better than I did.
