The man's technique n rhythm is one of a kind. And he sings like no other, and over top of his playing to boot, and he is a godly lyricist, I'de say possibly the best, and defs my fav. I've heard many say he's not a "technical" bass player, which those people are daft and ignorant and never even have tried to learn a bass line of his note for note, n haven't even listen closely enough to what he is doing n how he fills out the sound ALL the time like a GROOVIN GUTTERY GURTHY BOMBIN STUDDERING STUKA. His right hand rhythm work alone and fucked flicking technique baffles me to this day. You can pan out his stuff on "Everything Louder Then Everyone Else" pretty easily on one speaker, n hear his mind melting playing. One of my favorite tracks, "Back At The Funny Farm", jesus, that weird opposite rhythm under the guitar the whole time...Trying to not play the guitar line when the first verse kicks in, is a bloody headache, N HE'S FUCKIN SINGING TO! I still don't get how he played "Burner" that fucking fast n ferociously n kept breath during that whole time to sing, n made it look so effortless ...Oh the pure passion for rock n roll and speed
