I was trying to play Am with a C. Now i'm using a G and it works so much better. Thanks!

dustytheloneranger Yes third position is easier to play than 4th position. That said, 4th position does have it’s advantages. I’ll look into making a video on that.

This demo just confirms my opinion, that 3rd position on diatonics is only good for mostly single notes; those chords are awful. The real advantage of a chromatic C, played in 3rd position to equate to Dminor is the chords are consistent over the entire harp, and not dissonant as with a diatonic. The notes are arranged in a different layout, blow to draw, with no bends required, and on a diatonic any bending pretty much kills the possibility of chords. Still looking at whether any factory minor tunings provide equivalent chords to those of the chromatic, but unless the entire hole layout is altered from typical, just the gaps and requisite bending notes will mess up the chording.

z1522 I agree that 3rd position on a diatonic is predominately used for single note playing. If I need to play minor chords I usually reach for a natural minor harp.

Hello. Thank you for your lessons. I have a question. For example, I play the song "A minor Don't Cry" to my guitar and with can I play solo A-minor Pentatonic harmonica?
