You are the great teacher and I bet some day you as I'm now were an ameteur but throughout a hard training with keybord of your piano you became the professor of black and white happy, that surelly the piano is. I wish you all the best and keep creating, because it's usefull in my learning path, which is at the beginning as for now. I can read transcriptions but not those, that are to difficult but I hope some day I'll push forward my fingers dexterity and I will be able to go faster through the milions of different combinations of jazz improvisation as an art itself.

Hi Warren. You have described my situation perfectly. 64 years old. Living in an area without a suitable teacher. Self taught over the past four years. Always trying to figure out what I need to learn. I purchased your video and I have now got a great understanding of what I need to do. It is great value and I would recommend it to anybody. I will definitely buy the intermediate version when you put it out. I would love to see more videos on rhythm patterns, combined with melody and chord progressions like the one you have already made outlining the process. Thanks for doing this. It's been a great help.

You make some very valid points. Gaining the fundamentals is paramount to becoming a well rounded player. When I started playing, I just went with what sounded good, but I could tell something was missing. Now 30 years later I'm no where near where I want to be. Another good point was how to practice. I literally just spent an hour at the keys only to finish without a sense of accomplishment. A lot of other channels promote tips and tricks but not a structured program to follow. I'm definitely purchasing this tutorial. Warren you're a breath of fresh air for those of us scouring KZitem for tutorials to improve our playing.

Hey warren, Everton here, I like how u put the thing in a structured form. When a person starts out on there own and there is no one to guide on how to practice, it can be frustrating because you just practicing things all over the place, thanks for shedding the light on how to go about practicing. Keep on doing the good Work, bless up...

Hi. God bless you for your time and outstanding lessons. I can play the piano to some extent but do not know the names of what I play, since my tutor chose to shun the names but forced me to memorize the shapes. Please, I want to start all over. What are the step by step from beginner, which is covered in this video, all the way to becoming a pro ?

Hi, I watched your first 12 videos in the beginner playlist now and practiced everything youve taught me but I dont know where to continue now. Do I just keep watching everything in this playlist? Will that teach me everything I need to know for being a good pianist? I want to make my own chord progressions and melodies, not just play others. When I scroll through the video titles im not really sure where I should continue as I dont really want to be a gospel player or anything like that. The last couple weeks I just felt lost as a music producer and I dont know where to get new knowledge from. What im trying to ask you is where do I continue learning after im done with the basics?

Awesome video- just subscribed. Could you please help me with something Warren? I'm also a music creator, but I don't know how to set up my video recording so that I can show a virtual keyboard above the actual physical keyboard I am playing? I'd like to find out which software to use, or how to set up my recording, so that when I play notes on my Alesis Keyboard, the notes light up on the virtual keyboard and the note names are displayed on the screen. Can you please help me? Thanks!
@PianoLessonwithWarren

There are two software you can use 1. Chordie 2. Midiculous Once you connect your keyboard to your computer via MIDI cable you’ll see the keys show what ever you play. From there you using a screen capturing software like OBS and record the software. Then you put it all together in a video editing software

Hi Warren, how long does it took you to get to an advanced level?
@PianoLessonwithWarren
5 жыл бұрын
Lionel Tall I don’t know because there’s no defining point. The road to advanced is very similar to the growth from a baby to a grown adult. It’s a slow process and you’re only able to get a sense of your growth when you look back on where you’re coming from. My recommendation is that instead of focusing on becoming advanced, focus on consistency with your practicing as this is what will determine how quickly you make to advance.
