The issue that has kept me from learning much was from TBI the brain gets knocked around.. then non invasive surgery both hands.. l have within the last yr somehow began to have much improvement in my memory.. Lessons like this are helpful and greatly appreciated...

I never learned to play with a capo so I don't have one and had to learn how to play it with bar chords! Started with a Gm to a D#m then up to an A# and then an F on the 8th feet for the last chord. It's not on point but it works! I'll be covering this song tomorrow on my channel for Music Mondays!!!

Hey mate, good to hear from you. Yep, you definitely don't need a capo to play this song. It's a great minor key chord progression (i VI III VII) in the key of Gm (relative minor of Bb major) You've got it going by the sounds of it but your 2nd chord should be a major, not a minor. Also, they sound identical but I'd call them "Gm Eb Bb F" Get into it, I can't wait to see your cover of it on your channel tomorrow!

I'm so envious of all of you out there that have such musical talent. Listening to you give what seems to be such simple language, explanation, and instruction, feels like I'm almost listening to a foreign language. Watching how you go through it with such ease just feels so beyond me and my capabilities as I've never even attempted to learn to play any instrument. It's fascinating to watch you instruct, but I wish I possesed such talent. I don't sadly. Nevertheless, this was cool to watch. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for your comment mate. The funny thing is that I started on the guitar from the very same place you're at. Ha, you haven't seen the years of laborious practice and repetition, band stuff, performing, study and working as a teaching that all adds up over time. Do you have a guitar? I reckon you can go through some of our videos and find some things to practice. If not, let me know and I'll make a video for you or two. Thanks again.

@@GuitarPracticeHub Firstly, thank you very much for replying and your kind words of encouragement. No I don't have a gutar though. I'm 49 and I just can't imagine I posses the dexterity to pull that off. I was quite ambidexterous at basketball when I was young, but outside of that my left hand is pretty clumsy. lol. Anyhow, I can tell you're a wonderful teacher who offers great encouragement and that's fantastic. Once again thanks for replying and for the great video. Cheers!

@@goofyjohn6191 I get what you're saying, in fact in a certain way, I've already accomplished something I once thought was impossible for me, I taught myself Spanish. Enough to the point that I'm fluent and have worked as a medical interpreter/translator for several years. So I do understand exactly what you're saying, if I truly desire to learn and set my mind to it, I could achieve it. Perhaps you're right. Times are pretty tough financially though, so getting a guitar in the near future seems unlikely, but I'll try scaping together some sort of savings and keep an eye out for a bargain. Who knows, right? Thank you kindly for the encouragement.
