Wow my initial thought was Robin is probably just a standard gish, but this is both way more complicated and way more faithful to the character. Makes sense on a meta level too that the tactical genius character would be a highly optimized mess of multiclassing. Great video.

In Fire Emblem Heroes, there's multiple variants of Robin who's a heavy armor class unit, sooo... It would not be out of character for them to put on some -checks stats- whatever armor is just below Plate Armor. : ) I'mma put on some of that. This build is literally everything I could have wanted out of a tactician build. Thank you.

Awakening has a place for me which became a love/hate relationship. The community I left after becoming one of the best Awakening players in it and still having my advice being ignored or rejected. It is basically if you have someone like Kuroi who can Lunatic+ deathless with restrictions. You do not need a Lunatic Casual and Classic without any wireless features or Lunatic+ with wireless at a level where I one rounded Grima at that level. For content, Excellum was below my level three years ago only managing to manipulate/cheat with the clock glitch + all wireless features used to beat Lunatic+.

Absolutely LOVE this. Right from the beginning, got me thinking, "Huh, low Int? For a tactician? Wouldn't Eldritch Knight work better, giving you high Int, spellsword abilities, and all those maneuvers to position your allies and enemies and buff/debuff them." Only to remember when you hit Battlemaster that D&D and BG3 aren't EXACTLY the same so no weapon maneuvers, and maneuvers are a subclass thing, not just part of the kit, and holy cow this was more complicated than 30 seconds of instinct. Still, great as Robin is, you'll never be able to top Amaterasu. I just don't think it's possible. So psyched you're finishing off the smash roster. It's understandable that it's burning you out, and all things come to an end. Still, I'm glad for every video we'll get. Your builds have done so much to get me back into gaming with new character ideas I want to try and reminders about mechanics that exist. I've even integrated some ideas into characters in some of my home games in other systems! Thanks for everything you do.

I went back and watched the Santa Claus and Rudolph episode again, and I thought that having Mrs. Claus as Divination Wizard could complement Santa Claus pretty well and maybe pair her with a Dancer from among the team of Reindeer. I think it would be funny to see Dancer as a Satyr, mainly because it could be a funny juxtaposition to Rudolph as a centaur and give some lore reasons why Rudolph was teased by the other Reindeer, but if you want to keep things a bit more consistent, I guess making Dancer also a Centuar could work.

Oddly, despite my love of various Japanese tactical RPGs, I've never gotten into the Fire Emblem series. So, this is completely off topic: But, since I HAVE played a ton of sorcerers, I have to say that Silent Spell is probably the most slept on Metamagic that eliminates so many restrictions of you're playing with spells RAW. Especially if you're multiclassing. You can just end the entire concept of Counterspell chains, cast guidance the way a lot of players think you can in social situations, Hex-or, otherwise, curse a target-without them ever knowing you did anything, break out of virtually any capture scenario while bound and gagged, charm others without raising suspicious, drop suggestions that just sound like you have the situation under control, and toss around the vast majority of spells that don't include some sort of visual origin effect with a little Sleight of Hand to cover up your use of the material component (this one is more GM dependent, but generally works out if you don't abuse it to hell and back). It's really kinda nuts how much possibility space opens up for Sorcerer PCs, or the NPCs in games run by particularly devious GMs, when you don't have to wave your arms around and speak obviously arcane words to cast the vast majority of magic. Now, to be fair, a lot of players and GMs simply ignore the components part of spellcasting. So, in those games, Silent Spell is practically useless. But, if you're in a pretty seasoned group, I highly suggest giving it a go. It's absurd how much it changes the game as a caster.

I'll give you a quick rundown. Robin is the player character and deurteragonist of Fire Emblem Awakening. They're an amnesiac tactician who is skilled in swords and sorcery. They also happen to be the failed vessel of an evil dragon of darkness, Grima. Despite the over-the-top nature of their backstory, they're a pretty cool character who manages to play an awesome supporting role in the story.

I feel that focusing on charisma instead of intelligence is a baffling choice and shows a misunderstanding of their core character. Robin doesn't fill the role of charismatic leader in their story. Chorm fills that role, and Robin is a tactician and problem solver. I also feel that multiclassing into so many different charisma casters is unnecessary and makes the build feel unfocused. I would have built an eldritch knight that dips into wizard a bit for some extra casting power.

It’s an interesting build concept overall, although I would’ve personally skipped the level in Fighter altogether and gone straight with Wizard Bladesinger. My reasoning coming from mostly gameplay aspect of the whole thing, since Robin plays using a short sword in Smash (at least with the way they handle it), so we could focus on investing exclusively on Dexterity and Intelligence, and putting leftover points in Charisma for inspiring leader if needed, whilst dumping Strength since it isn’t a useful stat in this scenario. It certainly requires a bit of imagination and reflavoring for adjusting certain spells, but Robin’s whole gameplay revolves around using spell books like a Wizard whilst having at hand a magic sword that they acquired during the adventure itself. The one that I can imagine comes closer to how it plays is the Dragon Wrath’s Weapon, since the burst of lightning damage on a critical hit or the additional lightning damage from hitting with it are the closest I can think of for a DnD weapon that replicates the Levin Sword’s properties in Smash.

It's definitely a fun build with a lot of personality. But it may be a bumpy road to level 20 if you're playing it in any context other than a one-shot. For practical table play I'd consider some of the following adjustments(pick and choose to suit your personal needs): - Moving the Warlock level a lot earlier in the build would smooth a lot over. No matter how janky your power progression gets with the multiclassing you'll always have the automatic scaling of Eldritch Blast to ensure you're doing "Good enough." At least until you get all your toys online - I don't know if you really need all of the Sorc stuff, that's a lot of levels just for some evocations. Robin does use a lot of elemental attacks, but in Fire Emblem elemental damage isn't really a thing. It's all just Magic damage with different coats of paint. You could either shove all of this to the back, or drop it for extra bard levels and use Magical Secrets to grab the greatest hits. - The lack of Agonizing Blast will be felt. I'd trade something out to get Warlock 2 to give your Eldritch Blasts that old reliable boost. Fighter 3 is probably what I'd give up; maneuvers are flavorful but with all the casting you can do I struggle to imagine you'll get too much practical mileage out of them. But that's just me. If you want to run it in a level 20 one shot; it'll probably work well enough unadjusted.
