I think they both go up to the 8th fret in the studio version, but this video is focusing on the live variations! I wanted to make something different compared to all the other lessons of this song, just like I included Jim's extra solo in my Unsainted lesson. But thanks for checking this one out dude! 🙌

Those are pinch harmonics! It's definitely a very cool technique, but they can be a little tricky. Basically what you need to do is play a note and then hit the string with your picking hand's thumb very, VERY lightly. The harmonic changes when you move your picking (or fretting) hand up and down. It can take a short while until you get the technique down to a muscle memory level, but once you get there... ahh man, a nice pinch harmonic in the right spot is so nice!

I don't agree with some parts. I've been watching Jim and Mich how they play and there are many differences. Nevertheless - good job.
