Thank you for showing how to play the second verse riff! So many lessons for songs like this (songs by rock rock bands that essentially become pop songs due to popularity) only show people how to play the most basic or poppy version of the song like just strumming chords, but I've always been more interested in the nuances throughout the song that bring it together and make it truly special. I don't know why but I didn't think to bar on the ninth fret, and I was having a really tough time getting the pull offs up to speed. That mini-bar makes a world of difference.

Subscribed after the first video I saw, you by far are one of the BEST teachers, I always wrote songs (for two years now) never picked up others (besides Nirvana and Three Days Grace) until recently. You know the good songs, not just a select group everybody else ALWAYS does. Your videos are exceptional! I'm currently surfing your channel due to the great and EASY songs you teach. If you're looking for suggestions, here's something a LITTLE more complex but AWESOME, you should teach a song by the immensely underrated band HURT (maybe a more well known song such as Rapture, Alone With The Sea, or World Ain't Right, not many videos out there, and tabs aren't always accurate (or even exist!) anyways, keep up the AMAZING videos!

Hey! Great tutorial! I am able to follow your video and your strumming but I have a problem while plucking the strings. While I pluck it, I am not getting that fluid motion of plucking . What should possibly be done in order to get that fluidity in plucking ,especially what you do from 2:57 - 3:11 and 4:28 - 4:38.I have to pick each string individually and its slower than how you do it.

well, another comment here, I'm not a big fan of 30stm, but if you ever decide to make one more lesson on them - take 30 Seconds To Mars - Capricorn (their live acoustic version) - I would be definitely among the first to learn it:) ps. agree with people here, the channel is awesome. good for you (and for us of course), you have lessons on the songs which are not so popular on youtube. keep on. cheers from Belarus.

Another song that I desperately wanted to learn and then after picking up the guitar again was super underwhelmed because singing it feels weird because it’s an awkward pitch for my voice. Thanks for nothing, bands that make songs that are horrible to sing to for ladies, you misogynistic lot >: (Last part not actually meant seriously) On a different note, great tutorial as always :) Edit: for anyone wondering, it is a bit too deep to feel good to sing, one octave higher is too high. Sigh When singing on my own I automatically change the pitch to something I like 😄 “Just use a capo” Yeah right, still disappointed ^^
