Documenting your work like this really helps the next guy. Thank you.

What a bunch of ... The only thing worth showing someone is that he put short rebar in a drilled hole to put it in the rest of it isn't worth showing to the next guy

There are guys who only do curbs and gutters and they'd be laughing their asses off me? I've only built and only 775 foundations and 1500+ driveways garage floors basement floors sidewalks steps porches patios curbs and gutters paver patios stepping stones concrete hot tubs basketball courts nope I wouldn't show anybody any part of that

If you lightly tap the form boards before finishing the top it will finish the sides making the honeycombs disappear. Very nice work though!

the 'cracking' is the honeycomb effect ... you needed to vibrate the mix whilst still wet in the form ... which means that the mix should not have been too dry in the first place

Thanks for this. I'm trying to save money doing this similar project. A contractor quoted me almost triple than a year ago, when my salary stayed the same.

Nice job getting this done.. next time knock down (round off) the sharp corners on the top by using an edger tool with a radius. Best do it when the corcrete has set up a bit but is still workable.

You're not a concrete finisher or worker we Cut the rebar with what's called a cutter bender looks like 4' bolt cutters and for a 6 or 8 inch curb you make plywood cut outs "spreaders" what half inch "forms" you use you cut plywood squares 12 x 12 the you cut them for 6 x 6 curb you cut the middle out do you have what looks like a I shape cut it out (6+1/2 twice) 7" x 7' put one of these ever 3-4' sd straightening is needed thrm no rock pockets allowed and where's house hand float and edgers and for a long straight curb you can use a hand float 30" long instead of the standard what 14"

@@verndetta8315 No.. the gaps (spacers) are needed to break up long run of concrete/curb to reduce chance of it cracking
