I've been trying to get this stuff together for a minute. i want to thank you zach for all the great packs you send out every week. I'm having alot of fun now just staying within drumracks in ableton. I occasionally post horrible videos, and am looking criticism to improve my skills, so any help/hate from anyone is appreciated.

I use my thumb for the kick, ring finger for high hat and either my middle finger or thumb again for the snare. Just started found that on my own but I love all you're soundpacks bro! Props

Another great tutorial! If anyone is interested in seeing more tutorials on finger drumming techniques, Jeremy Ellis' MPC lessons. He uses the maschine and mpc, but many of his techniques can be applied to the MF.

I'm using Ableton.. if you're in traktor you could use the mp3's and just trigger cue points on the midi fighter buttons. 8 cue points per deck so you'd load both mp3's and trigger 8 on the top 8 buttons and 8 on the bottom 8 buttons. If you're finger drumming like this I'd definitely recommend Ableton because the drumrack is super optimized for that software

quite sick, thank you. now all i need to do is find a way to rewire how my mind works... Staring out a singer and never learning to play an instrument has hindered me... I always lead songs to, working independently with both hands is labor for me... however i'm getting it, DJing forces me. this will to. thanks again

I currently have 2 Launchpad S controllers, But for starters, the Midi Fighter pro/Spectra are great because of the ease of the buttons! I am going to get 2 Midi Fighter spectra's tomorrow! Launchpad S controller has pad based buttons, which aren't as easy to use, but they still would work.
