This is one of the things I love about your channel Jeff, you like us to remember what we should be doing, so we can do it well, and properly. I am all ears when you talk about vowels and I have learned so much about them and their importance since I discovered your videos. Yes indeed this is helpful because if keeps me on the ball, although I always try to be "there"! Something like you have posted here helps these rules to stick. A big thank you from me as always.

Thank you so much, Diane! I really appreciate it! I have been thinking about these items a lot lately, and felt like I had to bring it to the forefront! All the best! Jeff

I know you’ve helped a lot of people with that segundo passagio problem. The exercises you’ve posted for it help a whole lot

This is golden information. I love how you were explaining the exercises and illustrating with the large keyboard view + mini “talking head” view. Here before 100K subscribers 😀

Thank you, Jeff! I’m loving this technical deep dive explained simply. I use your baritone warm up and notice I have some discrepancies transitioning between vowels (e.g. ayyy to ahh). Now I can likewise obsess over consistent engagement and airflow when descending. 😂

Yeah man split screen in the house! Nice Jeff, I was struggling with a song and I realized I need to take a breath at a certain lyric line to be able to hit a problematic high note, I was trying to get through the sentence on one breath and kept dropping said note or singing it off pitch.

Early Squad! Thanks for the amazing video Jeff As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I recognised the "24 Italian Songs and Arias" book, which I have too! My vocal coach gave it to me some time ago, pre-covid, and instructed me to focus on "Caro Mio Ben", with a focus on windening my range, and encriching my tone

I know there are so many pop songs or modern songs that your ear hears something else than what the lyrics were. I just heard a song where I thought it said “don’t you think you can beat up black guys?” But it says “don’t you think you could fade to black cause,” your addiction by Nightclub

Thanks, Jeff for bringing this to my awareness. I know it does happen, so it's a good reminder!

This is good stuff. I’ve noticed all of these video exercises produce an overall stronger clearer voice except sometimes. Sometimes they expose areas of weakness. I believe those could be exactly the things you mentioned. At least in my case

Exactly. Use the knowledge of the strong sounding vowel combinations to work with those that need practice. That's what all these videos are about! Great work! Jeff

This is happening to me, that gap sometimes, and It can be tough to find the coordination of how to get just the right amount of air through. I am looking forward to beginning to work on higher notes. Been working on apppogio, but really, what's the best way to approach mastering that? I know a small hand full of exercises, that I do daily, but still, my support is inconsistent. Any suggestions?

The mechanics of appoggio are pretty straight forward, but observing our physical practice of it and implementing it well is delicate. Keep observing your practice and notice when your voice is working particularly well. It's likely that at those time your coordination and appoggio implementation are working well. Remember that physical experience and try to recreate it. What I am saying here is that it's more about how you do your chosen exercises, rather than the exercises themselves. I hope that helps! Jeff
