Nevaeh do you wear protective styles a lot? like just leave it alone, and oil your scalp, since we’re quarantining braid your hair, just your hair, and wash your hair, but don’t over exaggerate, when combing, don’t comb it dry, cuz you’ll strip away your ends, and you really won’t see improvement( I also do have 4C)
@niveyahh2206

I shaved my head 11 months ago and the back is touching the bottom of my neck I recommend keeping it in protective styles 💕 try wild hair growth oil and sleep with a silk durag or satin bonnet. keep your ends tucked and keep your hands out your hair. if you hair is dry moisturize it even if it’s just with water and a oil of your choice . ❤️

Wait so are you not supposed to moisturize your hair (loc/lco) before you blowdry? your only supposed to go in with your heat protector straight after washing?
@NellenelleForSure
4 жыл бұрын
No LOC for blow-drying that's way too much product. You may be able to get away with that if you are only blow-drying to put in braids, but if you are blow-drying for a press or to stretch your hair for daily wear you want your hair to WEIGHTLESS, moveable, and able to blow in the wind lol. With the LOC that's more for any style where you don't mind shrinkage. Whether with extensions or just your own hair. It's also not good to apply heat to too much product. That's how the hair ends up smelling odd and being stiff.
@lolo-hp3bt

@@NellenelleForSure Oh ok I thought oils and heat protectors etc protect your hair from heat .... so i should just blow dry my hair when it’s wet right , no product ?
@NellenelleForSure

@@lolo-hp3bt Definitely use heat protection! Just use it by itself or with a small amount of lightweight leave-in conditioner. Don't use a thick lotion or pudding. When you think of a heat protect think of a *serum or a spray mist.* ☺️ Am I making sense?
