On the way to my matches, I do visualise a great match but I also listen to music that pumps me up at the same time. In result to that, I have a great match and sometimes I’ve even had hat tricks 😂

You say that you shouldn't eat too much a couple hours before the match, but it is definitely crucial to eat a proper meal around 3 hours before kick off, so you're not hungry when you're playing

So I am a good player Who works hard in the gym and in my personal training but when it comes to games and matches I dont play Well. Are you nervous come game time or lack confidence in more pressure situations? A lot of players play well in training because the pressure is off and then struggle in matches because of the pressure. Once you identify the reason you perform differently in matches, you can start to work on it.

Dang, I've always thought u had to have a big meal 5 hours before a match, and then a small snack (a banana) about 1 hour before.

If that's been working for you, feel free to keep doing it. Just be aware of how long it takes whatever you're eating to digest fully. If it takes 3 hours to digest and it's 5 hours before the match for example, you should be fine.

Thanks! I have a pretty simple routine I do before a game that I can make a video on at some point. There are plenty on YT already though. I would just say always get some movement in before going into the game. So if you know you're going to be subbed in, start warming up 5-10 minutes before hand if you can
