I have LOVED watching your videos! Thanks so much for the effort you have put into these! I have a daughter starting in AP Lang & Comp and AP Environmental Science this year. She is not as confident as you appear in your videos. I have pinned your videos for her and will have her spend a Saturday watching your videos. Anxious to hear what college you are hoping to get into.

Thanks for your feedback! I've made two videos on the AP Lit poetry and prose essays, and both videos show how to write a thesis for each essay. This video is on the prose essay: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xGqs12yXgahif5g. This video covers the poetry essay: kzitem.info/news/bejne/x4arl3yAsqaXjH4. Hope this helps!

Because the exam is open notes, wouldn't having the info-bank out during the exam be useful?
@MsPeerEditor
4 жыл бұрын
I would say that the info bank is probably more helpful to study from beforehand. Although the test is open-note, you probably won't have much time to reference any other materials!

Ms. Peer Editor so would you recommend not using our notes while solving a frq as a quick guide or for a specific definition?
@MsPeerEditor

@@jaa9395 I would say do some practice FRQs beforehand and see what method works best for you. As long as you're following the College Board's instructions, you'll do fine!

This is what the College Board says: "Your class notes are better than internet searches. The internet can be an excellent source of data and facts, but it's also a source of misinformation, diverging opinions, and manipulated content. In the experience of our faculty, students taking open book/open note exams who try to find the answer on the internet often earn fewer points than students who use their time to apply their own learning to develop a logical response." Also do you think, since the exam will be 45 minutes, it is necessary to know every Apush period as detailed as you would know if the exam had been not changed?
@MsPeerEditor
4 жыл бұрын
I would suggest that you try to know periods 1-7 (which is what the exam will now cover) as in-depth as you would have if the exam had not changed. It's always good to be prepared!
@aishaergelen6538

Since the test is open note, would you recommend writing out template answers to commonly asked questions (basic themes)? Also, what do you think of the grading this year (will there be more 5's or less)? Thanks!!
@MsPeerEditor

Although the test is open note, you probably won't have much time to refer to other materials. Just prepare as best as you can before the exam and you'll definitely be ready! Also, I'm not sure about the scoring.

Reeya Bullshit, don’t listen to some people.If your a fast reader what you just commented could theoretically work. Just as long as you have the materials right in front of you and ready to look at then you should be fine.

Here is a form from the College Board's website that you can fill out if you don't have access to a device or the Internet for the AP exams: collegeboard.tfaforms.net/74. According to the website, you'll hear back from a member of the College Board's customer service team 2-3 days after completing the form!

Does the written version need to be in pen?
@MsPeerEditor
4 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't find any specific requirements for the written version, but I would recommend using a pen for some free response questions, especially for exams such as AP Lang or AP Lit that require longer essays. Your work may be more visible if you write in pen and take a picture. Make sure to check out the pages on the College Board's website for each exam that you are taking to see if there are any specific rules :)

It can be pencil and if pen it's either black or blue ink with the code on top of the paper with your initials and if there is more than one paper of writing you have to number it on the top. (From the video i watched on collegeboard)
