New to your channel like your work. I have this mold but used it for details on a king crown. By the way where did you get that rubber tip tool

You can find them on Amazon as "soft tip mold tools"... or www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A9UE9X4/ref=pd_sim_201_1?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01A9UE9X4&pd_rd_r=6K137CPCH183NKTR6BJ5&pd_rd_w=8FWIi&pd_rd_wg=hirrg&psc=1&refRID=6K137CPCH183NKTR6BJ5

where do you get that big pot of luster dust? all I can find online are the 4 gram ones... btw amazing tutorial!
@JalenaSimspon

The gold luster dust container closer to the screen is only 2 grams that i buy off amazon. The one behind it is a container i put my luster dust in and add alcohol to paint. But there are several cake supply shops online that sell a huge container of luster dust (ex. www.etsy.com/listing/199026604/10-grams-white-sample-container-gold?&gclid=CjwKEAjw9MrIBRCr2LPek5-h8U0SJAD3jfhtlUMf3FjgBXzjM_oSNFTexKqbRnP0sTUeggVIeLAgQBoCkiTw_wcB)

Does the tylose keep it from cracking/allow for it to harden together after using just water to adhere each piece? I gave it a try and it worked out beautifully but after trying to take it off of the cylinder it cracked, but i didn't use xylose :( i need some help
@JalenaSimspon

The tylose allows fondant to harden faster. You have to be carful once your tiara dries b/c it still sensitive. It helps to make this where you can allow it to dry for at least 24 hours. If you didn't use tylose and just fondant, yes that will crack instantly b/c there is nothing in the fondant that allows it to dry through out.

i purchased it from Michaels Arts and Craft. I don't think they carry this exact mold anymore, but I believe Hobby Lobby has them and you can find them online www.thebakerskitchen.net/Wilton-Baroque-Designs-Flexible-Fondant-and--Gum-Paste-Mold.aspx

How much tylose would you add to fondant to make the crown?
@JalenaSimspon
8 жыл бұрын
I use the eye ball measuring method ...lol... but if I had to guess, I would say I put about a tsp of tylose to every cup of fondant.
