Thanks for this Emma! I sometimes feel when trying to use RP pronunciation in my English people may think I am mocking them or something so I always end up pronouncing the “r” in words. Glad to hear you say we shouldn’t be afraid to elongate it.

Finally found this video. "World" is one of the most difficult to pronounce for me. Also the words with R and L close to each other like 'rarely'.

Hello!..... I have a question.... in rp accent, if we can pronounce the word 'often' (where t is silent) as 'ofTen' (where t is pronounced) then can we also say the following words as; 1. castle as casTle (where t has a sound) 2. listen as lisTen (t pronouned) etc etc...

I knew these two! I remember a teacher of mine saying that in words like "talk" or "walk" the muted "L" was called "dark L". But you're saying that "dark L" is when you hold it. He was clearly wrong. But...Is there a way to call those Ls in "talk" and "walk" similar to the "non rhotic R"?

Talk and Walk definitely have silent Ls, not Dark :) I have a video about light and dark L which will help answer this for you.
