Yup, grade 3 ac separation on my shoulder. Hog heaven pro shoot out, muddy track, bald rear tire and sending it = casing and getting bucked.

The last comment, using a case to help slow down into the corner. 🤦🏻♂️ I’ve literally always wondered why the pros are casing those small doubles into corners, and how they go from flying to cornering so quick.

Hey you know how you have the friday fails, what about a whatever day saves, explaining how someone saved an incredible almost crash? Thinking this could put visual reference to the techniques you teach and show people more why than just explaining it.

Ummm Does This logic apply to big doubles also? like 60 foot plus with steep landing facing??? cause that honestly sounds like a horrible time to nose case one of those bad boys?
@shooter7a

Watch Stew from 2014 in Seattle. kzitem.info/news/bejne/yoGwq36br2WAppg If he landed nose high, he would have crashed. In fact, with a steep peaked jump, landing flat might actually create a true case strike which will hurt you BAD. Even if he had been two feet shorter, he still keeps the nose hitting first. Here is another vid from his home track. This is casing hard a full bike length short. Watch it in slow motion. No panic. Controlled all the way. Drive the hips back just before impact. kzitem.info/news/bejne/qJqDm4yXanyaomU

3:03 could be dangerous advice for a really hard hit. A few years back I cased so hard that I damaged my forks, broke spokes, broke a stock Yam Ti footpeg., and exploded my right wrist (cominuted distal radius fracture). But I rode it out and did not crash. One thing I did in mid air was I moved both feet forward on the pegs all the way to the heel blocks, so that the lever arm effect on my ankle joint would be less. With a really really hard case, if you land on the balls of the feet, you are going to break your ankles and or tib/fib like a twig. Learn to adjust your feet on the pegs in air if you have to.

Over shot a 100 footer by steat bouncing the outside and landed in the pot hole left behind by the riders not going for it and getting on the gas when they hit the bottom... needless to say exactly what you said happened ankles snapped back and smacked my shins. No breaks thank god but sprained ankles for two weeks and they still feel pain and its been 6 months. motocross is brutal
