I used to use scatter volume but this is better and gives you more control over the fog

If anyone cant find the node menu for the fog object, it is under the "shading" tab on the top of the screen.

Great vid... So Bladerunner (1982) ridley Scott used smoke for almost every shot. Hollywood producers were like "what is this brit artist doing.... We can't see into background' it's known he argued all through the BR shoot. As a blender newbee you've helped me alot.... That's the thing missing from my scenes🙏🔥🎥

yo when i add principle volume for fog, it looks good on viewport but when i render it, it is way too foggy. is there any fix for this?
@serenearches

if your fog value (density) is higher than the lights in your scene can manage or your render samples are not high enough, the denoising after the render is done can blur and intensify the fog effect.

You might have low range clipping in your lens, Try to increase your “End” as much as possible in the lens section.

i recently learnt too add grass too, if you want, try GScatter...you can use that to create a randomized plane of grass, twigs, leaves and even stones and butterflies.... I fiind that diversity makes the best environmental scenes.....in real nature you always have different plant species and other objects in the same sppace so GSCATTER ADDON is useful. hope this helps someone

Honestly its not the workflow, its the camera which made him so goated. You need to shoot with a camera on a daily basis to get better at composition, lighting, story telling etc.

He probably used character from Daz studio and if you import Daz studio character into Blender using official bridge, you will see that collection called Daz_Root which contains the character and rig.
