Mike may have caught a fair bit of shit for being old school and not talking about stacks. But really nobody did until very recently. He’s such a wealth of knowledge. And if I had to choose a bodybuilder physique for aspirational purposes it would 100% be his. I’m not really into that sport, so I’ll never end up on the same field as him, but I respect the hell out of his work and his ability to calmly transmit his years of experience.

In 20 years of training i have never seen anyone hammer curl with a bent down wrist
@Reaper047
Жыл бұрын
It's a fairly new thing from what I've seen lately. I've also been lifting as long. I was looking for hammer variations and came across a few videos with the bent wrist movement. Never saw this variation till recent.
@tonynorris1506
8 ай бұрын
Similar to how a lot of people tilt their wrists back at the top of a standard curl (which helps to concentrate on the contraction/flex).... People do hammers similar, tilting the wrists downward on the upper half of the movement to where the knuckles are aimed forward at the top, even if the forearm is at 30+ degrees... I do this with both standard and hammers, although normally with lighter weight, and I keep them fairly straight with heavier weight. I NEVER curl my wrists upward though, I know that used to be popular, especially on barbell and EZbar curls...
