SealPath protection for AutoCAD, through its SealPath Security Sandbox technology, adds persistent Information Rights Management (IRM) / Enterprise Digital Rights Management (E-DRM) protection to AutoCAD drawings no matter how they are shared within or outside the organization. The platform allows companies and engineering or design personnel to establish usage controls over designs (e.g., view only, edit, print, copy and paste, etc.), and monitor file usage.
SealPath allows you to protect drawings with extensions .DWG, .DWF, .DWS, .DXF, .DWT. Not only does it allow the protection of individual files, but SealPath is the only AutoCAD file protection solution that allows you to protect drawings with references to other files (file assemblies).
The permissions that can be assigned to an AutoCAD file are: View, Edit, Export (STEP, PDF, Save As, etc.), Copy and Paste, Print (Plot, Batch PLOT, 3D Print) and Add Users. It is important to mention that in the case of Copy and Paste, the user can do on the file itself if they have access permissions, but if they have limited Copy and Paste, they will not be able to export content or paste content in other files external to the one they have opened.
Also, depending on the permissions SealPath allows importing files with external extensions (eg CATIA, Pro / Engineer, SolidWorks, etc), or exporting files to other formats (.DGN, .EPS, .IGS, etc.).
In addition to controlling access permissions, it is possible to apply expiration dates, access control by IP, opening permissions in offline or online mode, etc.
