Proving God is real comes from example. But i do not think it can be explained, because the truth is God is personal. We cannot prove God exists but we can show that everything is possible under knowing God and provide opportunities to learn about God.

Why do Catholics believe you can pray to saints or Mary? Do Catholics believe by grace through faith? That you cannot earn your salvation?
@MartinGonzalez-rt5dd
Ай бұрын
@nellipalchevskaya2680 Praying to Saints or Mary: Us Catholics believe that saints and Mary can intercede for us because they are close to God in heaven. This is similar to asking a friend to pray for you, but with the belief that saints have a special closeness to God. Grace Through Faith: Yes, we believe in salvation by grace through faith. We also believe that faith must be lived out through good works, which are seen as the fruits of faith and grace. Earning Salvation: We do not believe that you can earn your salvation by works alone. Salvation is a gift from God, received through grace and faith, but it requires cooperation with God's Will through a life of faith and good works. God loves you❤praying for you

"What happens if atheism is true?" He actually gives answers I agree with, yet I don't find the conclusions depressing or bleak at all. And regarding a moral lawgiver, this is basically what every christian thinks will happen if they don't have 10 commandments to follow. I don't believe in god, but have no problem not being an asshole or bad person. It's easy. This doesn't seem like it's made for atheists to listen to and have their minds changed. More like just telling people who already believe to keep believing.

@@-Viva-Cristo-Rey He only says things he knows Christians want to hear. He is repeating the standard apologetic sludge that is a gross misrepresentation of what i as an atheist actually believe. The fact that this makes him engaging is i guess telling enough. I also highly doubt he ever was an atheist altho i cant be sure.

@@aidanya1336I like how the atheists don’t EVER address what is said to refute it. Just like this thread they poke fun out of insecurity because it requires faith to believe there is no God. What’s funny is when you go on the offensive with atheists and question why they dont believe it usually boils down to an emotion and not rational thought which is where the irony is hilarious. Christians have moved past the ideas of atheism the atheists are the actual mouth breathers. Enough with speaking with authority. You WILL answer to God when you die. A rational person can atleast say there is wisdom in the Written Word the self important FOOL will mock it but it isn’t just a book of wisdom and truth. It is a calling to deny what is ugly in us to be selfless in union with Gods will. The atheists love to comment on these Christian videos because they are threatened by the idea of surrendering their will to the Lord and what they don’t see which is the dumbest part is the moment they do is when they become free and loved but they will never understand this language because they have been fed a different institutional diluted language that dosent suggest to them self denial. What’s funny now is how math and science is pointing up. The most brilliant people to have ever walk this planet are our Catholic theologians. IQ isn’t the measure. Wisdom is, union with the way the truth and the life is.

@@SevereFamine Hi! As someone from a Soviet culture (now an immigrant in the USA) I believe that matter is eternal, it can only move and change but not appear from nowhere, that doesn't make sense (and thus i'm a casual atheist). I'm noticing a different vibe in the USA. What is wrong with that? What am I missing?..
@SevereFamine

@@valinorean4816 Most people in the US would put belief in eternal matter on the level of solipsism. Basically very few people believe it earnestly though they may entertain the idea for the philosophical exercise. I think if you look into the scientific evidence, specifically big bang cosmogony you will likely conclude that eternal matter isn’t necessarily attainable. For example we know time had a beginning, and I think most people would conclude from that matter also had the same beginning, for matter to exist outside of time or space is a rather strange belief. Thoughts?
