Ha, my son purchased two 24" pipe wrenches made in China with a jack, cracked both of them. Tried to give him my Made In the USA pipe wrenches that I purchased some odd 55 years ago, not using them anymore, but they sure did the job for him, said thank you, but he will be borrowing them again. Believe his 2" galvanized pipe was also made in China, what a pile of rust both inside and outside. We are not saving any buying crap from China, was living in a 60 year old home with all galvanize plumbing, was still like brand new. Oh, his air compressor died after two years, made in China, purchase a Craftsman back in 1965, still working great, with the compressor seizes with this crap, or the tank develops rust holes just like made in China pipe. Importers are making a huge fortune, but the poor Chinese population are living a life like salves. Bidden sure made a lot of money.

Thanks, I unfortunately spent 3 days pounding my point down 14 feet, checking as I went only to find wet muddy water barely in the point. I hit clay. We tested by filling the pipe with water and I did not drain overnight. Everyone is telling me there cannot be sand below the clay layer and that my point is clogged. I guess I have to pull it now and a no looking forward it. Someone suggested I create an insert pipe with holes in it connected to a garden hose to drop down in and clean it out to see if I caught clay and clogged it on the way down since I do have some water kind of making it in. Thoughts before I pull?

I agree that it sounds like the point could be clogged. Garden hose with pipe is good idea. I tried just a garden hose but it wasn’t enough side pressure to clean out the screen. Good luck with the pipe idea!

Did you have 2 jacks or just one? i think the two jack system would keep the pressure more even. With just one you would have to keep moving it side to side. Idk

@@davidjosephjohn8599 I found out it was actually a 2inch drilled well I guess they did that around here back in the 60,s . So I abounded that idea and study up more on sand point well and put a sand point right beside it .been working great ever since 😀
