how long do you press your flowers for? Ive read anywhere from a few days to a month

It kind of depends on the plant. I usually use a microwave flower press that technically dries them in under a minute but then I still press them in a book for another week or so. If you are just pressing without a microwave press, i would suggest at least a few weeks for thinner plants and up to a few months for larger/thicker flowers. If they aren't completely dry they will feel slightly cold to the touch and sometimes bend or droop. If they are very dry they will have sort of a wispy papery quality to them.

@@SparkleGarbage awesome! Thanks for your help! I tried making a pressed flower stained glass over the weekend, and it turned out nice at first, but the next day the flowers that were blue turned brown. I'm wondering if the glass got too hot & burnt them?

@@Amy1437 I've never had anything burn so I doubt that's what happened. I would guess either the flowers weren't completely dry or moisture got between the pieces of glass and got to the flowers.

@@SparkleGarbage ooh ok, I did wash it after soldering, next time I'll just use the flux remover. Thanks!
