Yes, failed to mention. Look up what not to do when checking ohms. Easist disconnect the battery, then do this in resistance mode.

Depends on your meter. It will be labelled normally with the Ω symbol. Labelled either resistance/ohms/continuity

The presenter in this video uses the "Continuity" option/setting on his multimeter (one click past the Ω, with "Continuity" logo having design much like this symbol, ⌇, when turned on its side, or, 90°). The Ω (Ohms) setting will also work for checking the fuses, by employing the same leads placement [on fuses] as presenter shows in the video [whilst in similar "Continuity" mode] -- not sure if sound is to be expected when touching leads in Ω setting.. my multimeter does not make the sound (i.e., when leads touch in Ω mode).

not sure if that makes sense as you are testing continuity of something which is already in a circuit... So, the fuse can be broken but the current runs through the rest of the circuit (outside of the fuse). There's a method where you touch just one side of the fuse at a time - I am still looking for that method :)

you will need power probe for that

Take a multi meter and set to dc voltage. Touch the black lead to the cars ground on battery or any other grounding post. Next take the red positive lead of your multimeter and touch each side of a fuse.

Problem here is to check continuity you should remove fuse, otherwise you are testing the circuit and although fuse can be blown as the rest of circuit is OK, it will give bleep or resistance reading.
@howado

Blown fuse breaks the circuit. That the purpose of its life. You are wrong.
@GaryMarkowski

I think you may be right in some situations. In most cases, when the car is off, most connections are off, in which case you would be testing just the fuses with this technique. However if there is a short in the circuit or if a device is on, then even though the fuse is blown, you will have some connectivity however the resistance would likely be greater than normally if the fuse is good.
