Not sure how many other people would use it, but a larger version of the would be helpful for the guitars I build, where I radius the front and back similar to an arch top.

Good jig but if the sled is a true 12" radius here, the fretboard will be smaller by how much you lower the bit
@GWLuthierSupplies

The sides are compensated to give the correct radius, which is calculated for a 6.3mm thickness over a 20mm block. Of course, if you lower the bit more than that it will give a slightly different radius. But this slight difference can be easily adjusted when sanding with a radius sanding block.

What bit is recommended? Just bought this set up
@GWLuthierSupplies

We usually recommend a 12.7mm diameter cutter. The height is dictated by your router and the height of the piece you are working on.

Hi, very cool delivery. But I just guessing, what bit do you use to shape the fretboard? Any reference on your site?You should link the bit with your jig ,)

I love this video! Is there any limitation to the overall height of a fretboard already mounted on the neck? Obviously it can fit under the jig. If I did the math correctly, I would think that the radius remains the same, regardless of the distance in which the fretboard is positioned in relation to the sled? Thanx in advance and cheers from Germany!

Hello there! The jig was developed considering the 20mm of the aluminium base (where the fretboard sits) in order to end up with the best rough radius and a thickness of 6.5mm at the fretboard center. You can adjust your process considering this would be the perfect scenario. Thanks!
