Hi, sir. Reading several books at a time, you mean reading 3 pages of each book a day? Let me please understand. How do you read your books at a time?

I love how you have finally put into words the style of reading I prefer. You have also inspired me to approach parallel reading with more thought and intention. I do want to know if you try to finish all of the books in the current collection of books you've compiled to read together? Or do you just keep adding new books to what you're reading.

When you read several books do you ever go back to a particular one to reread it to refresh your memory of that book again I like to know.

It's so nice to see a video filmed outdoors. That looks like a lovely garden! The Rings of Saturn by W.G. Sebald is one of my favourite books but I'm yet to read Austerlitz so it's clearly something I need to get on.

I had to film this video in that garden! It’s so gorgeous! I bought The rings of Saturn and Austerlitz together . Don’t know what was it exactly but I decided to pick Austerlitz as my first read, although The rings of Saturn seems to be more famous. I also have Sebald’s lectures on history of destruction, have you by any chance read that one?

@@VashikArmenikus The Rings of Saturn is one of the richest and most rewarding books out there, it's not one thing but an amalgamation of many things. It's quite difficult to describe really. It helps that it was written about the part of the world I grew up in. I haven't read his lectures but I ought to.

Thank you for going back to the topic of parallel reading. I am always reading several books at the same time and I tend to choose very different genres so I end up reading science fiction, a cannon Sherlock Holmes novel, and a book on ecology at the same time... Lovely place and great readings Vashik!!

Austerlitz is remarkable, but Sebald's earlier books Vertigo, The Emigrants, and The Rings of Saturn are masterpieces.

Lovely place and garden! The first book reminds me of "The Bookseller of Florence" which you had presented in a previous video. If you are interested in biographies and you know French, there is a beautiful and well-written biography about Philip the Fair by Jacques Krynen in 2022, entitled " Philippe Le Bel La puissance et la grandeur". Thank you for your video and your continuous effort and suggestion of books!
