I've been using the cheapest version of Radarscope for at least 6 years because I wanted a decent app with velocity. I originally got it off the Microsoft store (one time payment, I think it was $30 but really not sure, no annual or monthly subscription fee and can download to any device) but now if I want to use it on android I must have Amazon app store installed and be signed in (not the case on desktop, not yet anyway). I do use it on 2 devices (one reflectivity, one velocity) when other people live stream chases and it was useful in 2021 when a couple of EF-2s and an EF-3 came through the area, also once in 2023 an EF-1 hit the next town north of me. I got the alerts on the phone and immediately used radarscope to access the risk and determine whether or not to seek shelter. I think it was money well spent. I also have to say, the WEA alerts have improved in my area over the years. Now I get the alerts before the tornado ropes out!

Good stuff thanks - I think you should do a very long lesson on all the metrics in pro app. I just got the windows version 2 days ago and loving it - im completely new to weather analytics. App is great. I didn't understand your comments on correl coefficient much. I understand it in statistics terms but in visuals and weather world, not sure how to read it. My favorite metric is the color explosions of DIFFERENTIAL reflectivity but dont really understand it yet. Any books you recommend? Radarscope should write a mini user guide for the tools, i would pay extra for that. Right now im just googling terms all day and my weather for dummies arrives soon. Also gonna get the abrams meteorology $90 textbook but its not cheap 😮
Awesome video, quick question do you need the pro version of the app to see Velocity, or is it available in the base version of the app?

For someone who has been looking at this ap an to buy it for App Store on iPhone. I live in Pittsburgh pa an we have already had over 12 tornados come through are area and we NEVER usually get them. I just had an EF-1 an multiple EF-2 tornados in my area I didn’t think I would need this living here 💀

@@EdgarTheStormChaser so basically what im talking about is you know how the cell tracks pop up for the storms it tells the data how fast they are going or if it's producing hail well there is numbers and letters next to where it says cell

The angle of radar. Tilt 1 is the closest to ground and thus lowest section of storm
