I've always felt so completely alone in what I go through with depression. I never knew this was an issue with others. Thank you for making this video for others like me to see.

I have not heard anybody else yet on youtube talk about their struggle with reading and depression and anxiety. I used to love reading but in the last years I have stopped enjoying reading nearly as much. Its really helpful to know Im not alone in this problem. It is holding me back from so many things.

Thanks so much for the video. I’ve been going through a reading slump recently because of depression. I just can’t seem to care about anything I read. I start books but never finish them. But I really appreciate the video and the advice and hope to push through. I always come back to reading in the end. I hope you’re doing well!

I actually just discovered you recently. I was looking for an audiobook of "From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil. E. Frankweiler", because I've never had the book and I loved the film since I was a child in the 90s, and I came across your video of you reading it. Now, ordinarily, I don't listen to a lot of audiobooks on KZitem, but something about your voice caught me, and I became entranced listening to you read, and I fell into the world of Claudia and Jamie Kincaid in a way I've not done with any book in a long time. You've inspired me to pick up reading again, which has been a lifelong passion of mine, but I had all but given up during a bad relationship which ended 2 years ago but still haunts me and I'm still recovering from. In any case, I think what you're doing in reading books on your channel is a really amazing thing, and I'm really glad you put up this video, despite how you're feeling at the moment, because I think we all need to see that vulnerability reflected in ourselves and know that we're not alone. I've suffered from Bipolar/Depression for years now, and even with the medication I take and the therapy I've received, it isn't always possible to even get out of bed unless I drag myself up, or I can be flying around like a tornado fast and distracted. Either way, I can find myself forgetting my self care, wondering when I last brushed my teeth or bathed, then feeling guilt and shame for not paying attention to my own needs. Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into an exposition on my mental health. I merely wished to thank you for putting up this video. It's important to put this information out there and to share a little of your story with others so we can remember we're not alone, even if we feel otherwise. What you're doing is important. Please, keep on doing it.

My channel is small. Video editing is a hobby; Fun to provide something here and there but it does get very lonesome when I do things and think things very differently. What I would do is to think of it all in a different sort of light. If I cannot entertain the world, I can at the very least entertain myself. What I do is all for the thrill of a challenge, to try something new. Just a bad day, not a bad life. I will take your word seriously and start reading once more. Starting with There There.
