Oh my goodness, thanks so much for your videos!! I have read sheet music all my life and it still takes me quite awhile to figure things out by ear. I have rehearsals starting next month for a December Beatles tribute and need to spend time practicing rather than figuring everything out by ear. This is a HUGE help (and as you know, the piano sheet music printed for these songs is not what would actually be played with a live band!)

You are the best thing that has ever happened to Beatle fans who want to understand and learn their music --- and you are the best thing on you tube. Thank you for sharing your excellent grasp of music and your tireless effort to provide many songs. I look forward to each one you do -- and force my band mates to learn a few of them so as to sing better harmony.

There are actually three rhythm variations in each progression of the verse. The right hand varies slightly each time on the A chord, so three variations every time the verse comes around. The three variations are differentiated by the timing of the mashed c and c#, which are never actually played together but slightly separated, by different amounts each repetition. And the left hand plays a grace C on only the first of the three repetitions. The key to getting it to sound right is getting the right timing on each of the variations of the flat third.

When I say Paul in concert in 2009 in Tulsa OK, he used this for his sound check. I was having dinner in the BOK center near the stage. It had to be him playing. My friends and I couldn't hear ourselves talk, so we asked the waiter to tell the pianist to hold it down a little. He stopped after a while.

This image is pretty much the correct version: www.adictum.com/how-to-play-lady-madonna-on-piano-by-the-beatles-sheet-music/ If you read music, it should only take about 5-10 minutes to learn. The main difficulty is the syncopation.

Yes man, you got it.. Even the Beatles "Complete Scores" does not approach this song seriously (for some odd reason, because they do in all others.) I think the biggest discussion over this song would be the opening right-hand moves. Some people hear a "B" I do not. What you are showing with the C-C# with the A, I believe, is correct. Nice job as always. ... Jimmy.. Texas, USA
