Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzitem.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

*Used to supplement the up stairs when it gets hot outside this works very well and **Fastly.Cool** Also works good when the upstairs gets too hot in the Winter from the heater.*

Hi Abbey, I just watched your clear, thorough and detailed instructions and they worked. My thermostat is working and I now have heat. It is 29 degrees outside. thank you so much for your clarity, detail and helpful video. Gratefully, E.

Possibly not supposed to, but I have just pulled my thermostat off the wall when this happens - it has a pin connection to the part that's fixed on the wall - no cords between them - and then set it back in place. Causes the reboot. A reset button on these thermostats to force a reboot without either cutting power or reseating would have been a good feature.

Thanks for mentioning this. I decided to try this before schlepping out to the breaker box. Completely solved the issue.

This procedure worked for me on the Trane Comfortlink II XL1050. Power outage during the night. When I got up, screen was black and unresponsive. Thank you very much.

Thanks Abby!, Very useful. Our thermostat went dark and did not come back on after a power outage! It took 2 tries and the step with a dark screen before initializing was really slow. But we got there,

Worked just like you said. All I had was a white screen on thermostat. After about 9 mins, all is working well!

Thank you so much. You are awesome. Screen was not rebooting even after I turned off the all the breakers. Realized that the ac has its own breaker box. Outside. Worked like a charm after that. 😅 got to 109 today.

Gonna try that now, seems like the problem we’re experiencing. But it’s intermittent, sometimes the screen is not always blank. I have also noticed that sometimes it reads that the temperature is 69 degrees when it is clearly much warmer

@deniselopez9882 my drain outside was plugged tripping the overflow sensor. Not sure if that's your issue but that was mine.

Instructions worked perfectly. 30 and snowing outside so I'm glad to have my furnace running again after a power outage.

My ac unit was reset by accident. I used to have it set at 77 and at 79 is when it would turn back on. I want it like that again! 🙏🏻 I just don’t know how to set it back to that? UGH! 😩😫 Can you please help me? In other words I had it set 2 degrees higher than my set temp at 77 so it would turn OFF at 77 but turn back on when temp in house would reach 79 and I really want to set it back like that again. Does anyone know where is the setting that I need to do please? I have a Nexia American Standard 624 thermostat

I am very bitter at my 2-year-old Trane thermostat. I had the old-fashioned low-tech round thermostat for decades and it never stopped working. I am trying repeatedly to restart the blacked-out screen. I'm not calling the repair guy right now because I might start yelling. We are surviving on oven heat and a space heater. When I get the repairman over here, I will probably have him yank this thing off the wall and give me a reliable thermostat like the round one I used to have.
