Great video. I purchased a Char Broil grill from Lowes 2 years ago. Luckily I found the manual and did not realize the burner parts are warranted for 5 years!!! I almost ordered replacement burners for over $70. They registered my grill over the phone and only charged me $5 for shipping!!! Not all parts are warranted for the 5 years so call them before you spend money out of pocket, It was definitely worth the call!

Oh, yes, very helpful! We recently acquired a nice 4-burner Char-Broil stainless grill that someone just threw out because those rails are all rusted out, and the ignitor was ruined by water infiltration. We pick, so my son brought it home, and I started looking up how to fix it up. Great video, because we also found two 20-lb propane cylinders to make it and a beautiful propane smoker we also acquired fully-serviceable again. 👍🏼

Great video. Thanks for the tip about facing the flame carriers forward. It's a small detail that really does make a difference, and is perfect for the reason you mentioned of searing meat, and have the stronger flame toward the front.

This was a great refresher. I bought the same grill 7 years ago from AAFES and put it together from kit form. It has worked great up until now. Upon inspection, the burner tubes and the carry-over tubes needed to be replaced. The carry-over tubes fell apart as I examined them. It's been 7 years since I built this item, what to do next. After reading the manual, ordering the parts, and waiting, I found this video. A great refresher, followed what was shown and everything went together as explained on the first try. The only issue I had was the igniter part was tough to take off, but got it. As retired military, one learns to make do with what is in hand. Of all the youtube videos for replacement, this one I felt was the best. Thank's,

I know how to remove cotter pins but my kit only gave me enough for either the carry-over tubes or the end of the burner where it connects to the box (body of the grill). But they gave me screws and washers 🤷♀

@@kristiG5259Char-Broil made a "Classic" gas grill in 2013 exclusively for Home Depot, which was only offered for that particular year. The grill came with wrap around Stainless Steel rails that could be used for hanging towels or cooking utensils. Instead of the common use of cotter pins, all burners and carry-over tubes were held in place with stainless steel screws and washers. Hope this helps?😆😅🤣😂

Great video. Thanks. I was given a 5 burner charbroil grill that was 1 year old. It had been used a lot but never cleaned. I scrapped about 3/4 in off the bottom. The glop protected all the metal so it was easy to clean. The burners were good so the only thing that it will need soon are drip pieces above the burners. They should hold up this season. Thanks for a thorough video. Stay safe.

My son picked up a used grill for me for $30, then told me what to order on Amazon. It's a 5 burner and looks like a broiler on the end. That and one of the burners have ignitors. I can't remember which burner I took the ignitor off. Does it matter which burner I put the new ignitor on? (5 came in the kit but the ignition switch only has room for 3 wires.
@c130aviator

It doesn't matter as long as that is the one you use to light your grill every time. The front of the grill should be marked with which knob has the ignition.

I would like to how quickly your BBQ gets up to 500 degrees or more, and how long, if at all. I have the same BBQ, that I bought new and I feel like it's never properly heated up, as it won't go past 450.
@c130aviator

Mine gets up to 600 if I leave it sit. Seems very hot. Might be your regulator or burners that are misaligned.
@alternateimpact81
3 жыл бұрын
@@c130aviator yes the regulator would be my first guess. I've tried purging the tank, and resetting the regulator, and it still takes like 15 minutes to get to 450. I think I will order a regulator, and see if it was just a factory defect. I should also add the uneven cooking all over the grilling surface, and the temperature drop off when the lid is opened. Something just ain't right.
