Thanks for making this video - I have a H5 and a requirement to record interviews in WAV - I think Zoom is used by most People and I can see that the audio can also be converted into WAV. I've subscribed and will look at your other videos mate - I'm also going to start Podcast interviews etc this month so your video is really appreciated, Cheers Darren

This is an awesome video. Thank you! One question for clarification. I think you mentioned it briefly, but if I understand correctly, the settings you applied to your Zoom have to be enabled on each machine, correct? Also, if I enable High Quality Audio, I assume that has to be enabled on each guest's machine as well. Correct? Thank you!

Great Suff! Question though. Is it really necessary to upload your file to iTunes ? Couldn't I just skip that step and drag the file into Garage Band?
@Podbeancom

You absolutely can! We just included both ways. Some people are very comfortable with GarageBand, others are more comfortable with iTunes, so we wanted to give options. :) Thanks! -

I landed on here when searching for how to sync 2 Zoom audio files in Garageband but you don't cover this. Do you have another tutorial that talks us through that? Thank you!
@Podbeancom

Hi! While we don't specifically have one on that, go to 7:39 in this video. You'll hear the video talking about "dragging and dropping" your file into the project. You can do this with multiple audio files, movie them around within GarageBand, and merge the files that way. Hope this helps!

Good explanation, especially pro tips, but for those of us that are tech insufficient, what's a DAW? How to convert the audio to MP3 for Windows folks?
@Podbeancom
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kate! A DAW is a digital audio workstation (so whatever software you're using to edit). As for converting your file, you should be able to do so with your DAW of choice, Windows Media Player, or one of the browser-based file conversion sites!

Can you do the same using an iPad 12.9 pro rather than a laptop?
@Podbeancom

Hi there! I believe you can also record your Zoom call on the iPad Pro. In terms of converting the m4a into an mp3, I believe you'd need to use a separate app for this. However, I believe there are audio app converters in the App Store! Sincerely, -John

Hi! We actually have a whole webinar on how to record your podcast where we go over gear, best recording practices, and more. Much of this can translate directly into using Zoom to record! LINK: www.podbean.com/webinar-how-to-record-your-podcast But we can also make a video all about best tips for Zoom recording, too! Thanks! -

@@Podbeancom Please do. I'm on a Mac and use Audacity. I tried hooking up a mic, but it wasn't better than the built-in mic. Also, how to save so it's not tinny.

Thanks for the feedback, Claudine! We'll be sure to lower the background music a bit more in future videos (John's a musician, so he's probably biased to the music levels, so we'll get him under control 😂).
