In this video, I am fixing two iPhones with similar problems. First, I work on an iPhone 13 Pro and then an iPhone 13. Both phones have a shorted NAND line at a capacitor near the NAND chip.
A quick .05A draw on the DC power supply is observed on both phones. This kind of draw can indicate a problem with the NAND line, but it can also be caused by other issues such as shorts in other power rails or partial detachment of certain coils like the boost coil.
It is helpful to categorize DC power supply draws into potential groups rather than trying to pinpoint a specific problem. This is because even though power supply draws may read the same, they can be caused by differing issues.
This time, they same amp draw was caused by the same problem, but it is not guaranteed to always be so.
